Stacy Leistner (he/him)
Founder and Chief Storyteller
Stacy Leistner is a communications and events professional who helps organizations shape stories, engage audiences, and create experiences people remember. He founded The TAGS Group in 2014 to bring together thoughtful strategy, memorable storytelling, and meaningful audience connection.
Raised on a family farm in the Midwest, Stacy learned early the value of hard work, adaptability, and showing up when it counts. While in college, he launched his first hospitality venture by recruiting his fraternity brothers to help staff events. After earning degrees in business and communications, with additional study at Parsons School of Design, he spent more than two decades working in-house within the nonprofit sector. His experience with communications and media relations, marketing, education, and events continues to shape how he approaches every client relationship: collaboratively, thoughtfully, and with a real understanding of the pressures organizations face behind the scenes.
Known for keeping projects in rhythm and staying calm under pressure, Stacy has led communications initiatives and audience engagement efforts across healthcare, education, information technology, visual and performing arts, fashion, finance, and consumer products. Friends and colleagues also know him for his love of hosting sparkling events, an instinct that continues to shape how he approaches storytelling and guest experiences for The TAGS Group. (Ask him about the time he accidentally filled a cactus with glitter and confetti.)
