Medical Conference
Long before MD²’s 2024 medical conference began, the organization’s concierge physicians and staff from offices across the country received Save the Date gift boxes filled with gleaming red apples — a playful nod to the thoughtful hospitality and Big Apple grandeur awaiting their arrival in New York City.
More than 150 MD² physicians, staff members, and spouses gathered in Manhattan for the two-and-a-half-day conference. The event marked an important leadership transition for the organization while creating space for accomplished professionals to reconnect outside the pace of everyday practice.
The TAGS Group coordinated the experience from the ground up, from host hotel management to social events that embraced the elegance and energy of New York.
The conference opened with a welcome dinner at Quality Bistro before continuing with a day of conference programming at Weill Cornell Medicine. During the signature evening at Tavern on the Green, guests were greeted by a living Statue of Liberty greeter and a glamorous champagne hostess. Later that evening, crème brûlée was torched by a circus performer suspended above the room on a flaming lyra — one of many moments designed to surprise and delight guests throughout the gathering.
The result was an experience that felt polished without becoming overly corporate, and welcoming without losing its sense of sophistication.
